Invisalign Birmingham

The Invisalign Treatment Process

Invisalign is a modern, discreet orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made, clear aligners to gently straighten your teeth over time. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, removable, and made from smooth, comfortable plastic.

Each set of aligners is worn for about one to two weeks before moving on to the next in the series, gradually shifting your teeth into the desired position. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as normal, making it a convenient option for everyday life.

Invisalign can be used to treat a wide range of concerns, including overcrowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. Your treatment will be planned using advanced 3D digital scanning technology, allowing you to see your expected results before you even begin.

Regular check-ups with your dentist or orthodontist will ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Most cases are completed in 6 to 18 months, depending on the complexity of the alignment needed.

Initial Consultation

Your Invisalign journey begins with a consultation with your dentist or orthodontist. They will examine your teeth, discuss your goals, and determine whether Invisalign is suitable for your needs.

Digital Scan and Treatment Planning

Digital scan or impressions of your teeth are taken to create a precise treatment plan. Using advanced imaging technology, a virtual model is created to show how your teeth will gradually move throughout the course of treatment.

Custom Aligners Are Made

Once your plan is approved, a series of custom-made, clear aligners are created specifically for you. Each aligner is slightly different, designed to shift your teeth little by little.

Regular Check-Ups

You’ll have periodic check-ups—usually every 6 to 8 weeks—to ensure everything is progressing as planned. Your dentist may provide your next sets of aligners at these visits.

Completion and Retainers

Once your treatment is complete and your teeth are beautifully aligned, you may be given a retainer to wear at night. This helps maintain your new smile and prevents your teeth from shifting back.

Benefits of Invisalign

Virtually Invisible

Invisalign aligners are made from clear plastic, making them discreet and barely noticeable — ideal for adults and teens who prefer a more subtle treatment option.

Comfortable to Wear

The aligners are custom-made from smooth, BPA-free plastic and fit snugly over your teeth, causing minimal irritation compared to traditional braces.

Removable for Ease

You can remove your aligners when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, allowing you to enjoy your favourite foods and maintain excellent oral hygiene throughout treatment.

Customised for You

Each treatment plan is fully personalised using advanced digital scanning, ensuring precise movements and predictable results.
