Dental Services

Why Implant Care Matters

Dental implants can last many years, but like natural teeth, they need regular care. Proper oral hygiene and routine dental visits are essential to maintain the health of your implant and surrounding gums.

DENTAL IMPLANTS POST TREATMENTS

Minimal Discomfort

Most patients feel only mild discomfort after the procedure. Pain is typically managed with prescribed medication, and swelling generally eases within a few days.

Quick Recovery

Recovery is usually swift, allowing most patients to resume daily activities within a few days. Complete bone integration can take several months.

Enhanced Oral Hygiene

Good oral hygiene is essential after implant treatment. Brushing, flossing, and regular professional cleanings help ensure long-term success.

Follow-up Appointments

Routine check-ups are crucial to monitor healing and ensure the implant is functioning as intended. Your dentist will oversee your recovery for the best outcome.

Daily Cleaning Routine

At Home

Brush twice daily using a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste.

Clean around the implant thoroughly, especially at the gumline, using:

Interdental brushes with a soft plastic coating (avoid metal wires).

Superfloss or implant-specific floss.

Water flossers (oral irrigators) for deep cleaning, especially if you have bridges or hard-to-reach areas.

Tongue & Mouth

Gently brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth to remove bacteria and freshen breath.

What to Watch For

Contact us if you notice:

Bleeding or swelling around the implant

Persistent bad breath or a bad taste

Pain, movement, or discomfort near the implant

These may be signs of peri-implant disease, which can affect implant stability.
