DENTAL IMPLANTS

Transform your smile and return full function to your mouth.

Dental implants consist of a titanium insert that is implanted into the jawbone, providing a foundation for a crown or bridge that is fixed on top. Dental implants are an excellent option for replacing missing teeth and filling gaps. They look and function just like natural teeth. They are stable, comfortable, and secure in the mouth, while also offering a highly aesthetic finish for the patient.

Improved Functionality

They restore full chewing ability and speech clarity, allowing you to enjoy your favourite foods and speak naturally, without worrying about dentures shifting.

Preserve Jawbone Health

Implants help maintain the jawbone structure by stimulating bone growth, preventing bone loss that typically occurs with missing teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does dental implant do?

Dental implants are used to replace natural teeth that have been lost or need to be removed, helping to restore the patient’s natural dentition. They are titanium ‘artificial tooth roots’ that are placed into the jawbone, providing a stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures, much like a natural tooth.

Teeth can be lost for various reasons, such as trauma (e.g. when teeth are knocked out), decay, gum disease, or age. Regardless of the cause, missing teeth should be replaced for both aesthetic and functional reasons. Common treatments for missing teeth include dentures or fixed bridges. However, dental implants are now regarded as the gold standard for tooth replacement, offering a long-term solution, helping to slow bone loss, and preserving nearby healthy tooth tissue.

Dental implants look, feel, and function much like your natural teeth. On average, a dental implant lasts around 10 years, but with proper care and maintenance, it can last a lifetime.
