Whether you’re using a day kit or overnight whitening tray, following these steps will ensure a safe, comfortable, and lasting result.

Brush and floss thoroughly to remove plaque and ensure optimal gel contact with the enamel.

Prepare the Gel Syringe

Remove one syringe from the kit, twist off the cap, and securely attach the dispensing tip.

What If I Experience Sensitivity After Teeth Whitening?

It’s completely normal to experience mild sensitivity to hot or cold drinks following a whitening treatment—this usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. To ease discomfort, we recommend using a desensitising toothpaste such as Sensodyne. If your gums feel tender or irritated, avoid brushing the affected area until the sensitivity improves. If symptoms persist beyond a couple of days, contact Sunna Dental in Birmingham for personalised advice.
